Viz Releases Nana As iTunes Exclusive

Viz Media announced that will release the Nana anime on Apple's iTunes store in North America. The series will be exclusive to iTunes until August 31st. Customers who purchase the "Season Pass" for the series will be able to download episode 11.5 as a bonus.

Nana is based on Ai Yazawa's manga of the same title. The Nana manga is immensely popular in Japan, with over 43 million volumes sold. In addition to the anime series, Nana spawned two live-action films. Viz currently holds the domestic rights to the Nana anime, manga, and films. They publish the Nana manga under their Shojo Beat label. Both Nana live-action films are currently available on domestic DVD. Viz plans to release the first boxed set of the Nana anime on September 9th.
