Animator Yoshinori Kanada Passes Away

Animator Yoshinori Kanada passed away from a heart attack at age 57. The prolific Kanada was known as a "super animator" representing Japan in his profession. He established a number of animation styles that continue to carry great influence to this day.

Kanada's credits extend from 1970s and '80s sci-fi classics like Galaxy Express 999 and Toward the Terra to Studio Ghibli films.
