Author Takahiro Yamato Passes Away

Publisher Fujimi Shobo has confirmed that author Takahiro Yamato passed away on Monday, July 20th, due to an unspecified illness. Yamato was best known for his ongoing Kaze no Stigma light novel series. He was also awarded the 13th annual Fujimi Shobo Fantasia Novel Award during his career.

Gonzo produced an adapted an anime TV series from Kaze no Stigma in 2007. The light novel series stands unfinished at the time of Yamato's death with six main volumes and five short story collections.
