New York Anime Fest and New York Comic Con To Co-Locate In 2010

Reed Exhibitions announced that they will co-locate with the New York Comic Con next year. Through the agreement, both events will share the same dates and location. Both events will be held from October 8th through October 10th at the Jacob K. Javits Center in Midtown Manhattan. Attendees who purchase a membership to either event will have full access to both.

Both the New York Comic Con and New York Anime Fest will host their own guests and run their own programming. However, they will share the same show floor.

The New York Comic Con is the second largest second largest pop-culture event in America, with over 77,000 attendees at this year's event. Over the years, they hosted a number of influential figures in the popular culture sphere, including Stan Lee, Stephen Colbert, Neil Gaiman, and Joss Whedon.

The New York Anime Fest is one of the largest anime conventions in the northeast. The convention was started in 2007, and attracted 18,399 attendees last year. The event hosted a number of popular figures in the anime and manga industries, including Yoshitaka Amano (Vampire Hunter D, Final Fantasy VI), Hideyuki Kikuchi (Vampire Hunter D, Demon City Shinjuku), and Lisa Ortiz (The Slayers, Record of Lodoss War). This year's event will be held from September 25th throught he 27th. They will host Yoshiyuki Tomino (Mobile Suit Gundam, Brain Powerd) and Yui Makino (Welcome to the NHK!, Tsubasa Chronicle).
