Yaoi Press founder Yamila Abraham was arrested in Las Vegas, NV on charges of fraudulently selling herbal alternatives to recreational drugs. Police allege that Ms. Abraham mailed seven packages of Snurf pills from Las Vegas in 2005 and 2006. According to her indictment, Abraham sent over 20,000 pills to a number of locations outside of Nevada.

Snurf is advertised as an herbal alternative to recreational drugs. However, the pills contain large amounts of dextromethorphan, an active ingredient in cough medicine.

Abraham is currently not in custody. However, she will still be tried on the matter in a court of law. Abraham told the court that she was unable to afford a lawyer, and was appointed a federal public defender.
