Kadokawa Pictures announced that its Kadokawa Pictures USA subsidiary closed on August 31. Through its operations, Kadokawa acquired numerous anime titles with the intent to contract other companies for release and distribution outside of Japan. The titles licensed are as follows:

• The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
• Goshusho-sama Ninomiya-kun (My Heartfelt Sympathy, Ninomiya-kun)
• H2O ~Footprints in the Sand~
• Junjo Romantica
• Lucky Star
• Mamoru-kun ni Megami no Shukufuku wo!
• The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
• Mushi-Uta
• Rental Magica
• Shuffle! Memories
• Spice and Wolf
• The Third: The Girl with the Blue Eye
• Wagaya no Oinarisama

In addition to their role as an anime licensor, Kadokawa Pictures USA worked with American companies to coordinate licenses of its TV and live-action film properties.
