Leiji Matsumoto Animates Music Video for Queen

Nikkan Sports reports that anime legend Leiji Matsumoto recently produced a music video for the British rock band Queen. Set to their iconic Bohemian Rhapsody, Matsumoto drew on concepts from his current manga project - Out of Galaxy Koshika - to tell an original animated story.

Part of the Bohemian Rhapsody ~feat. Leiji Matsumoto video will be unveiled on November 24th at events in Tokyo and Osaka to commemorate the 18th anniversary of former Queen lead singer Freddie Mercury's passing. The video will be distributed on Japanese mobile phone websites by the end of the year.

Matsumoto and Toei Animation previously collaborated with Daft Punk on INTERSTELLA 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem in 2003.
