On December 30, newcomer American anime distributor Anime Midstream announced the availability of the first DVD release of Zettai Muteki Raijin-Oh on its website. This first volume contains the first five episodes of the series, in both English dubbed and Japanese subtitled format.

The 51-episode Sunrise series made its debut in Japan on April 3rd, 1991 and ran to March 25th, 1992. Zettai Muteki Raijin-Oh is based on Tomy's Eldran franchise and follows a group of fifth graders defending the Earth from the evil Jaku Empire with a giant robot, the titular Raijin-Oh.
