FUNimation announced that they acquired the rights to Dragon Ball Kai. The acquisition was originally revealed by FUNimation's parent company, Navarre, during an earnings conference call today. Navarre confirmed that the series would be released in the latter part of the next fiscal year.

In other words, the sky is blue, the grass is green, and anybody that didn't see this coming is blind.
