Anime Boston announced that they will host Nobuo Uematsu as a guest of honor. Uematsu is one of the most famous composers in video games and anime, with a resume that includes Final Fantasy, Blue Dragon, and Lost Odyssey.

Michael T. Lee revealed on the Anime Cons Mailing List that Uematsu will not perform at the event. According to Lee, the negotiations took six to eight months to finalize the appearance.
