FUNimation announced that they acquired the domestic rights to the Trigun anime series.

Trigun was originally released by Geneon (Pioneer Entertainment at the time) from 2000 to 2001. Dark Horse currently distributes the Trigun manga in the west. Currently, neither a release date nor format are known.

In addition to their Trigun acquisition, FUNimation representatives revealed the English cast to their upcoming release of Dragon Ball Z Kai. The series will cast the same actors that played in Dragon Ball Z, outside of four roles: Gohan, Bulma, Chiaotzu, and the narrator. The roles will be filled as follows:

• Bulma: Monica Rial
• Chiaotzu: Brina Palencia
• Gohan: Colleen Clinkenbeard
• Narrator: Doc Morgan

The first part of Dragon Ball Z Kai will ship on DVD and Blu-Ray on May 18.
