Sakura-Con announced that director Yasuhiro Imagawa (Giant Robo, Mobile Fighter G-Gundam) will not be attending the event. The director cancelled his appearance and offered his apologies. According to Imagawa, he will not be able to attend due to a new project. However, he hopes to attend the event in the future.

This is the only cancellation for the convention this year. All other guests, including Trigun's Satoshi Nishimura & Takahiro Yoshimatsu and Haruhi illustrator Noizi Ito are still scheduled to attend.

Sakura-Con will be held in Seattle from April 2-4.
