Jun Seba Passes Away

The official Hydeout Productions website announced that Jun Seba passed away in an automobile accident on the evening of February 26. He was 36. An ambulance rushed Seba to a Shibuya hospital, but efforts to save his life were unsuccessful.

Jun Seba was a hip-hop producer better known as Nujabes. He made is professional debut in 2003 on his label's compilation album, followed by his first solo album Metaphorical Music. He composed the music for the Samurai Champloo anime series, including the show's opening song Battlecry. A number of unreleased tracks were left in his studio, which will be released in the future.
