Anime News Network reports that voice actresses Mai Kadowaki and Rika Morinaga will not attend Sakura-con this year. Kadowaki's coordinator explains that she was not given enough time to work out the details between her agent and Sakura-Con, and was forced to cancel the trip as a result. Kadowaki stated that she was looking forward to the event, and hopes to visit the United States in the future. A reason for Morinaga's cancellation was not revealed.

Sakura-Con will be held from April 2-4 at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center in Seattle, Washington.
