Translator Amy Forsyth Passes Away

Anime and manga translator Amy Forsyth passed away in Houston, Texas on Monday. She was 33.

Forsyth was a Cape May Court House, New Jersey native, who attended and graduated from Middle Township High School and Trenton State College.

She leaves behind a large stable of translations. For ADV Films, she translated:

  • Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid
  • Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu
  • Le Chevalier D'Eon
  • Gatchaman
  • Pumpkin Scissors
  • Venus Versus Virus
  • Comic Party Revolution
  • 009-01

For ADV Manga, she worked on:

  • Azumanga Daioh
  • Yotsuba&!
  • Chrono Crusade
  • Gunslinger Girl
  • Full Metal Panic
  • Full Metal Panic: Overload!
  • Peacekeeper Kurogane
  • Gunparade March

She also worked with TokyoPop on Kare Kano amongst others, and with Yen Press on the translation of the Soul Eater manga.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at the Radzieta Funeral Home in Cape May Court House.
