AnimEigo CEO Robert Woodhead announced that the company was unable to license the rest of the Yawara! anime series. The announcement was made on Woodhead's Twitter account, where he posted the following at 1:50 PM today:

It is with deep regret that we must announce that so far, we have not been able to secure a license to release the rest of Yawara.

I contacted Mr. Woodhead shortly after the announcement was made. In his reply, Woodhead stated that he is not at libery to comment on the details of the situation. He explained that the two parties "simply were not able to arrange a license."

AnimEigo released the first 40 episodes of Yawara! in a single boxed set in 2008.
