Anime Expo announced that Macross Frontier singers Megumi Nakajima and May "May'n" Nakabayashi will perform at the event. The two are Anime Expo's latest confirmed musical guests for this year, though a mystery guest has been planned to perform with the Macross F duo on July 2nd.

Nakajima won a nationwide audition to play Ranka Lee, which led to her performing all of the character's songs in Macross Frontier. May'n was the musical voice of the series' "Galactic Fairy" idol Sheryl Nome.
