Anime News Network reports that Disney will release Goro Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli's Tales From Earthsea (Gedo Senki) in the United States. The film will be dubbed using a cast that includes Blaire Restaneo, Matt Levin, Timothy Dalton, Cheech Marin, Mariska Hargitay, and Willem Dafoe.

Tales From Earthsea will receive a limited theatrical run that will begin on August 13. The film will show at the following locations:

• Angelica: New York (Manhattan)
• The Landmark: Los Angeles
• The Kabuki: San Francisco
• Harvard Exit: Seattle
• Victoria Ward: Honolulu

No plans for a home video release were announced.

Tales From Earthsea adapts Ursula K. LeGuin's Earthsea novels. The film opened in Japan and other countries 2006. Due to a licensing agreement with Sci-Fi, Disney could not release the film in the west until this year.
