Libre Publishing revealed that they recently sent cease-and-desist notices to a number of fan-translation (scanlation) groups devoted to distributing the company's manga. Anime News Network reports that several groups already complied with the notices and removed links to Libre's titles.

Libre states that, as a publisher, it is important to protect the right of the rights that authors entrust to them. In addition, the company would like readers worldwide to understand that "protecting the authors' rights goes hand-in-hand with producing their works."
