The SPJA announced that CEO Michael Lattanzio will step down from his position. The decision was made on good terms, according to SPJA representatives. During the interim, Marc Perez will serve as CEO, and assume Lattanzio's duties.

Lattanzio was hired as the SPJA's president and CEO in 2009, and held his positition during this year's Anime Expo. Under his leadership, several Anime Expo staff members, including a large number of division managers, resigned after a dispute with Lattanzio. He is the third formal CEO since 2005, when Jennifer Pon resigned from her position.
