The Nikkan Sports and Nihon Keizai Shimbun newspapers (via Anime News Network) report that Japanese officers arrested 42-year-old Tomoko Sasaki earlier today. Sasaki was arrested on allegations of illegally uploading anime via Perfect Dark, a file sharing program intended to protect user anonymity.

According to the Kyoto, Okayama, and Saga police, Sasaki uploaded three anime titles, including Mitsudomoe to the service on August 23 and 24. Sasaki declined to reveal further information in her deposition.

Tomoko Sasaki is the third Perfect Dark user to be arrested since the program's release.
