Kadokawa Partners with Nico Nico's Partner Company

Kadokawa Group Holdings announced that they will partner with Dwango to distribute books, films, anime, and other forms of content. Beginning next April, Kadokawa will allow content from the company's Book Walker e-book service to be readable on the tentatively titled "Nico Nico Viewer". In addition, Kadokawa will launch an official channel on Nico Nico Douga. Currently, Kadokawa and Dwango are considering the production and distribution of anime that will be exclusive to the new channel.

Dwango is the parent company of Niwango, who runs the Nico Nico Douga video streaming site. Kadokawa is the parent company ofKadokawa Pictures. The company's Book Walker service will debut on the iPad and iPhone in December. Nine Kadokawa Group companies wil provide roughly 1,000 Book Walker titles that range from manga to light novels by April.
