Anime News Network reports that thirty-seven Japanese publishers will set up a North American portal site. The site will digitally distribute manga from the following companies:

The plans for the site were revealed at the Denshi Shoseki Comic Summit in Akihabara, by Shueisha Managing Director Kazuhiko Torishima. A beta version of the site is planned to open within the year. The site will periodically host free manga, and serve as a hub for information on upcoming releases.
