FUNimation announced that they entered a distribution partnership with Asian Media Rights. Through the agreement, FUNimation and Asian Media Rights will release over twenty titles on Video-on-Demand services the day they premiere in theaters, or earlier. The first film in the agreement will be Evangelion 2.0:You Can (Not) Advance.

Currently, over twenty films are included in the agreement, and include both anime and live-action titles. In particular, Summer Wars and Alien vs. Ninja and Mutant Girls Squad were cited in the announcement.
