The Wakayama Prefecture police arrested two young adults on February 4, for allegedly stealing guitars and character figures from the model for K-On!'s school. The two suspects broke into the campus of Toyosato Elementary School in Shiga on November 17, at 1:30AM. Roughly twenty character figures, three guitars, and two cash boxes containing several hundred thousand yen were stolen.

Tanabe police arrested one suspect in December on allegations of stealing money from local markets and offices. A search of his home yielded the discovery of several character figures, among other items. The suspects admitted that they enjoyed K-On! and wanted the figures.

The pair are believed to be associates that repeatedly broke into offices in the prefecture.
