One Piece Volume 61 Becomes Japan's Fastest Selling Manga

Oricon reports that the 61st volume of the One Piece manga sold over two million copies in its first three days of retail. The title sold 2,086,080 units between February 4 and February 6. According to the firm, it is the first book to break two million copies since they began ranking books in 2008. The previous title, One Piece volume 60, broke the two million mark in four days last November.

The volume was priced at 420 yen, and grossed roughly 876,153,600 yen ($10,635,570.07 US), and was one of forth volumes of One Piece in the Oricon top-100 chart. The series sold over 200 million books to date.
