This year, at Comic Con International 2002, TOKYOPOP will have a spectacle ready for all attendees. Their booth (#2429) will be transformed from a plain 20 by 50 booth into Manga Land.

Manga Land is an exhibition of TOKYOPOP's key showcased titles. It offers a cornucopia of attractions for the attendees from a few of their most popular manga: Initial D, some CLAMP titles, and Great Teacher Onizuka. Some of these attractions include a full prototype Initial D arcade game, as well as a GTO classroom, starting Onizuka, in the flesh.

TOKYOPOP's special guest at the convention this year is none other than Tohru Fujisawa, creator of the mega-hit series GTO. Mr. Fujisawa will be doing an autograph/Q&A session at the TOKYOPOP booth on Sunday, August 3rd from 2:00-3:30pm. He will also make another appearance with TOKYOPOP as a member of their manga panel on Friday, August 2nd at 1:00pm in room 7A. During this panel there will be many discussions and details about TOKYOPOP's Manga Talent Competition.

Is that all? Nope, TOKYOPOP still has a bevy of things left for attendees. 4 OF 5, a band featured on the GTO soundtrack, will be making an appearance on August 3 from 11:00am to 12:00pm for a signing of the new album.

TOKYOPOP is also providing a screening room to show off current and future company releases. Titles being screened include Initial D (sub), Marmalade Boy (sub), Brigadoon, GTO, Real Bout High School, Vampire Princess Miyu and Saint Tail.
