The official website for the Tokyo International Anime Fair (TAF) confirmed that the event will be cancelled. According to the announcement, the event's executive committee decided to cancel the event in the interest of attendee safety, as well as uncertain power supplies and erratic transportation accessibility. The event's staff apologized for the inconvenience of the cancellation.

Voice Actor Junichi Suwabe revealed that the Anime Contents Expo (ACE) was also cancelled. Suwabe was scheduled to record an episode of the Starry Sky radio program at the event on March 27. The event's organizers did not make an official announcement regarding the sitaution yet.

TAF was originally scheduled to run from March 24 through March 27, with the first two days being industry exclusive, and the latter two being open to the public. ACE was scheduled to run from March 26 through March 27.
