Navarre Sells FUNimation

Navarre announced that they sold FUNimation to a group of investors led by FUNimation CEO Gen Fukunaga. The company was sold in a cash transaction of $24 million.Through the sale, Navarre will continue to serve as FUNimation's exclusive distributor in the United States, as well as the company's logistics and fullfillment services provider.

Last year, Navarre announced that they were considering selling FUNimation. In September, they revealed that the anime distributor had six potential buyers. This January, Navarre announced that they received no adequate offers, and considered halting the sales process.
