Anime News Network reports that the third volume of the Mobile Suit Gundam UC OVA sold 87,000 copies since its release on April 7. The sales were enough to push the title to the top spot of Oricon's weekly Blu-Ray sales chart for last week. The DVD version of the title sold 44,705 copies, sealing the #2 spot.

Due to the sales, Mobile Suit Gundam UC is the first OVA to have three consecutive volumes rank #1 on the Oricon weekly charts.
