FanimeCon announced that voice actor Tohru Furuya will attend the event as a Guest of Honor. Furuya is a veteran actor whose resume includes Mobile Suit Gundam's Amuro Ray, Dragon Ball Z's Yamcha, and Sailor Moon's Tuxedo Mask. At the event, Furuya will host several panels.

FanimeCon will run from May 27-30 in San Jose, California. In addition to Furuya, the event will host Yuya Matsushita, Ryusuke Hamamoto, Seiji Mizushima, and Takahiro Yoshimatsu.
