The wrap-around jacket band on the latest issue of the Full Metal Panic! Sigma manga announced that Kadokawa will launch a Full Metal Panic! light novel spinoff. The project will be a novel set roughly ten years after the story in the original light novel series. The title was drafted and supervised by Full Metal Panic! creator Shoji Gatoh, though Naoto Oguro will write the final version. Illustrations will be handled by Shikidouji, and Kanetake Ebikawa will contribute to the mechanical designs.

The new title will be released in Japan this summer.
