Angela vocalist Atsuko revealed that a sequel to the Fafner anime was green-lit. The new series was officially announced at the Sokyu Sakusen promotional event for Sokyu no Fafner: Dead Aggressor: Heaven and Earth.

Fafner: Dead Aggressor: heaven and Earth will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on September 21 in Japan. the Blu-Ray edition will include footage from the Sokyu Sakusen event, as well as a collection of television commercials and theatrical trailers.
