The website or Shueisha's Jump Square magazine revealed that a new chapter of Nobuhiro Watsuki's Rurouni Kenshin will hit the publication. The new chapter will be a prequel to the original Rurouni Kenshin manga that will run in Weekly Shonen Jump in August. In addition, a smartphone app featuring manga chapters, wallpapers, and video clips will be released in May.

Jump Square will run Watsuki's Rurouni Kenshin -Cenima-ban- in their May 2 issue.
