France's Annecy Film Festival announced that Berserk Ogon Jidai-Hen I: Hao no Tamago will be shown out of competition at the event. In addition to Berserk, Katsuhiro Otomo's Hi-no-youjin will be shown in the festival's Short Film category, and the first episode of Blue Exorcist will run in the TV series category.

Berserk Ogon Jidai-Hen I: Hao no Tamago is the first of three adaptations of Kentaro Miura's Berserk manga. The film is animated by Studio 4°C and directed by Toshiyuki Kubooka. Annecy is the world's largest animation film festival, and runs from June 4-9 this year.
