Looking to check out a new series but afraid to drop down the 30 on that ever-so-important first DVD? Central Park Media has come forward with an answer to this dilemma. Set for an October 28 release, Central Park has unveiled its "Anime Test Drive" series of DVDs. This new line of DVDs will offer the first two episodes of a series, along with 45 minutes of trailers and a coupon for the corresponding box set. Packed in a clear Thinpak case, viewers can rest assured that these additions won't take too much room up on their crowding shelves. Hopes are high as the release of these new discs come closer to the present. The first series set to be released are Legend of Himiko, Record of Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight, Now and Then, Here and There, Maze TV Series, Patlabor: Mobile Police and The Ping Pong Club.

In expectation of the Anime Test Drive series, Central Park plans to lower the prices of the box sets featured in the Anime Test Drive line. Legend of Himiko, Record of Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight, Now and Then, Here and There, and Maze TV will drop to 69.99, Ping Pong Club will lower to 89.99, and Patlabor will fall to 99.99.
