On October 9, Synch Point officially announced that they will be halting production of the 20-page inserts that are packed into FLCL DVDs 1-3. According to Synch Point, this decision was made in the best interest of the customer, as they have been unable to keep with the demand from major distributors. Instead of the in-depth booklets, the DVD inserts will be replaced by a 2-page insert with the cover art on the front, and the music information on the back cover. The booklets will still available on the Synch Point website as PDF files, which can then be printed. Customers can rest assured though, that there are still many FLCL DVDs with booklets in circulation, and the ones without will be clearly marked with a black sticker. Anime Gamers will keep extra DVDs with booklets in stock while supplies last, and Synch Point will be doing an exchange at conventions while supplies last. The next conventions that Synch Point is scheduled to attend are Anime Expo 2004, Otakon 2004, and San Diego Comic-Con 2004.
