TOKYOPOP Announces its Rising Stars of Manga Contest Winners

TOKYOPOP has announced the winners of its "Rising Stars of Manga II" competition today via its "News Blast" e-mail newsletter. The grand prize of $2500 went to Lindsay Cibos for her work, "Peach Fuzz." Nicholas Liaw received $1000 for her first place entry "Unmasked." Honorable mention and $500 went out to the runners up:

The lucky Amerimanga-ka will be featured in a Rising Stars of Manga compilation, which will be in stores in December 2003. TOKYOPOP has also announced that its third Rising Stars competition will officially kick off on January 1, 2004.
