Bandai has announced that they have acquired the rights to Dear Boys and Overman King Gainer. Bandai also has announced that Zeta Gundam will debut in September followed by Galaxy Angel Zeta's debut in October and Please Twins' release in November.

ADV announced that they have obtained the rights to Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch, E's Otherwise, and Cromartie High School. The status of the Slayers Movie and Slayers: Book of Spells features is still unknown, but being considered for ADV's Anime Essentials line. On the topic of the Anime Network, ADV has announced that they will be showing a combination of subtitled and dubbed titles.

FUNimation has announced that they own the rights to Gunslinger Girl. For those that are sick of 4Kids' butchery of Yugiou (Yu-Gi-Oh!) and Shaman King, FUNimation has announced that they will be releasing both in their uncut form. Both series are planned to have both a dub and a sub track and are planned to be released with 3 episodes per disc at $19.98US. When asked about Sakura Wars (Sakura Taisen), FUNimation stated the title was delayed due to Sega's wanting to approve a voice actress.

4Kids has announced that they have acquired F-Zero: GP Legend, which will air on Fox Box. Also in their announcement, 4Kids has referred to Hollywood Mew Mew as Tokyo Mew Mew, which brings up questions of whether or not 4Kids has decided to use the original name and setting as opposed to initial plans.
