At the San Diego Comic Con, Viz revealed at its panel that the Inu Yasha TV series will end with episodes 166 and 167.

The first volume of Flame of Recca will be available on November 26 for a retail price of $24.98. A one-episode preview DVD will be packed in Animerica magazine's October issue.

Maison Ikkoku's fourth box set (episodes 37-48) will be released on November 23 with a retail price of $49.98. It will be available exclusively on Viz and The Right Stuf International.

Bandai Entertainment announced that they will be opening their own manga division. The books will retail in the $9.99 to $10.99 range. The books will have color pages and color dust jackets. No titles have been announced yet, but the first title will be released in March of 2005. The division will also produce film comics and possibly artbooks in the future.

Bandai is also planning to introduce a new series, to be animated by Xebec Studios, named DICE in early 2005. Toys and video games are being planned for the show.

The domestic release of the Dear Boys TV series may have its name changed to a more masculine title.
