Geneon has announced that the company has acquired the rights to worldwide video and theatrical distribution rights to Appleseed. From this acquisition, Geneon has the rights for the film in all countries, save Japan and Korea.

ADV Films has announced that it will be adding its own line of "Cosplay Caps" to the company's ADV Toys line. Reminiscent of FUNimation's mascot caps, the items will be available this winter with a retail price of $14.99US in four different styles: Menchi (Excel Saga), Puchuu (Excel Saga), Saizo (Peacemaker Kurogane), and Jonathan (Kaleido Star).

Gonzo Studios has launched its official website for the company's new anime series, Speed Grapher. At the same time, the company announced that it will be making a new Kaleido Star OVA series, which will be titled Kaleido Star 2.

AIC has announced that the studio plans to develop the adult anime Magical Kanan into a mainstream television series for a 2005 release.

Studio e.go! Has announced that it plans to develop the PC game Izumo 2 into an anime television series.

Netrunner Magazine has announced that the magazine's fifth anniversary magazine will be bundled with an exclusive OVA entitled Net Run Mono no #1 Net Run Mono no #1 Net no Sumi de Blog to Sakebu. The OVA will feature several famous internet fan characters, including the ever-popular Habanero-tan and Biske-tan.
