Slaying the Flashing Dragons of Canada

The Anime Network has acquired the broadcast rights to the three The Slayers television series. All 78 episodes are set to begin airing in early 2005.

According to Moon Phase, the anime series based on Ken Akamatsu's Negima will premiere on TV Tokyo on January 6 at the 1AM time slot.

Bandai Entertainment has announced that the company will be distributing their products in Canada. With serveral properties (including .hack//SIGN and Witch Hunter Robin) already airing on the Canadian YTV station, Bandai looks to fill in some of the lacking Canadian anime DVD market.

Viz has announced that the company will be joining with America Online to provide exclusive features for AOL's RED service. Each Friday over the next thirteen weeks, AOL's RED service will offer an exclusive premiere of Dragon Ball "flash-manga." After 48 hours, it will be made available to all users via Shonen Jump's website. The flash cartoons are a combination of Toriyama's orginal storyline, color, and movement that have been combined into a web cartoon.
