Aquarian Totoros Kick Off The Steamy D.I.C.E. Delays

Viz has announced that they will be releasing a series of four "Ani-Manga" volumes based on Miyazaki's My Neighbor Totoro. The first of these full-color volumes will be released on November 8 with a suggested retail price of $9.99US.

To kick off the holiday gift-giving season, Bandai has donated a tractor trailer of toys to the US Marine Corps. annual "Toys for Tots" campaign. In the past two years, Bandai has provided the largest toy donation to the charity.

Bandai has announced that they have acquired the animated series, D.I.C.E. The work, which is a joint creation between Bandai and Xebec (a Production I.G. subsidiary), is an adventure series that utilizes a mix of cel and CG animation. Cartoon network has acquired the broadcast rights to this show, and plans to begin airing in January.

According to the American Steamboy website, the film is set to open on American shores on March 18, 2005.

Nausicaa.net has reported tha the next wave of Miyazaki's titles slated to be released by Disney have been delayed again. Currently, Porco Rosso, Nausicaa, and My Neighbor Totoro have disappeared from Disney's retail schedule. No new release date has been issued as of yet.

As of November 2, the first seven volumes of Yu Yu Hakusho have been repriced. The new volumes will have a suggested retail price of $16.98US.

According to Anime News Service, Broccoli Books will be releasing a limited edition of Aquarian Age: Juvenile Orion volume 5. Available only through Waldenbooks, Brentano’s, Borders, and Anime Gamers, the limited edition will includes a box to hold all five volumes of Juvenile Orion and a set of keychains that feature Tomonori and Tsukasa. Broccoli Books will also be releasing a stand-alone version without the box and keychains.
