Anime Expo 2005: Friday and Saturday News Bites

Right Stuf announced that the company has licensed 2x2 Shinobuden. The series will use its English title, Ninja Nonsense.

Central Park Media had no titles to announce this year, but they did mention that fan-favorite Revolutionary Girl Utena will see a repricing in 2006.

Geneon Entertainment announced its acquisition of Fate: Stay Night, Kannaduki no Miko, Sakugan no Shana and Gun x Sword anime series. The music division of Geneon announced that the company will release the Melody of Oblivion soundtrack. A trailer for the upcoming Hellsing OVA, "Hellsing Ultimate OVA" was shown at the Geneon Anime Fair event, before a Q & A session with surprise guests Kouta Hirano and Yasuyuki Ueda: the author and producer of the Hellsing manga, respectively.

TOKYOPOP announced several titles this year, including Anima, Asagiri no Miko, Buss Gamer, Life, and Rozen Maiden. Also announced were the Kino no Tabi and Gravitation novels. At the event, the TOKYOPOP representative unveiled its BLU line; a yaoi (boys love) line of novels. The maiden lineup will include Earthian, Shinobu Kokuro: Hidden Heart, Love Mode, and Wild Rock.

Bandai confirmed that the company holds the license for Mai HiME.

ADV announced that the company will be acquired the Macross television series from Harmony Gold. The company is trying to create a dub for the series. In September, ADV plans to release a dubbed, uncut version of Sakura Diaries. Also during the panel, it was announced that Evangelion, Peacemaker, and Chrono Crusade will be airing on television. Evangelion will hit Cartoon Network, wheras Chrono Crusade and Peacemaker will be aired on Showtime.
