At the recent Anime Weekend Atlanta, ADV Films announced that the company plans to release the second half of Kaleido Star on DVD next year. The American release will include the video-exclusive episode 52.Currently, ADV does not have the rights to distribute the home video exlusive episode of Elfen Lied.

FUNimation has announced that the company will be launching FUNimation Channel in association with digital programming distribution company OlympuSAT.The network will be available to all cable providers, though no launch date has been announced.

In anticipation of the February release of the live-action Saikano film, Toei Animation has begun serialization of the story in novel form. The novel, penned by Saikano scenario writer Itaru Era, will be updated online by 800-1000 characters daily for three months. After the movie is released, Shogakukan has announced that it will release the novel in printed form.
