Central Park Media made dual announcements regarding Record of Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight. Central Park Media made the first episode of the show available for free download on PC, Macintosh, and iPod via the company's website. The download coincides with an announcement tha the Record of Lodoss War DVD set will be seeing a price drop to $39.95US

Central Park Media has appointed Ali T. Kokmen as the company's new Director of Book Sales. Mr. Kokmen was previously the Sales Marketing Manager for Harper Collins. Mr. Kokmen will be responsible for the North American sales of new 40 to 60 manga titles per year, and all back-titles.

According to Anime on DVD, Central Park Media has put up a trailer for the restored version of Outlanders. Outlanders, which was formerly released by US Renditions, will be released in February 2006.

Viz has announced that Mattel has been granted the rights to produce American toys based on the anime series Naruto.

According to Anime Nation, both One Piece and MewMew Power (Tokyo Mew Mew) have been pulled from American broadcast. It is currently unknown as to whether the shows have been cancelled, or if they are on hiatus.

Anime News Service has reported that the American company Comic Book Movie, LLC. will be partnering with Itochu to produce an American motion picture based on Cyborg 009. The film will be produced by Michael Uslan, the producer for every Batman movie since 1989. The movie is targeted fora release in 2008.

CLAMP has announced that the DVD releases of the XXXHolic and Tsubasa Chronicle theatrical movies will be released in Japan on February 25, 2006. No price has been announced yet.

Accoring to Anime News Service, the December issue of Shueisha's Cobalt Magazine officially announced a third Maria-sama ga Miteru anime series. The series will be released in OVA format.

Nasuicaa.net reports that Studio Ghibli's next feature film will be directed by Hayao Miyazaki's son, Goro Miyazaki. Hayao Miyazaki is reportedly "fiercely against" the idea of his son directing Ghibli's next feature. Details about the film are unknown at the moment, but information will be announced in Japan on December 13.

Anime News Service has revealed that KDDI and Tezuka productions will be offering over 700 Osamu Tezuka manga works to mobile phones. The lineup includes rare, out of print works and features titles that include Astroboy, Black Jack, and Buddha. A one-month subscription will cost 315 yen, and individual serials will cost 62 yen. The service, which starts on November 17, expects 30,000 customers in the first month.
