Kaneto Shiozawa, a seasoned Japanese voice actor, succumbed on May 10th from a cerebral hemorrhage after a bad fall at his home. Shiozawa, who was 46 at the time of his death, had been a seiyuu for the past 20 years. Some of his most memorable roles include:

• D in Vampire Hunter D
• Rei in Fist of the North Star
• Goemon in Lupin III: The Fuuma Conspiracy
• Inspector Shiratori in Detective Conan
• Larva in Vampire Princess Miyu
• Ma Kube in Gundam
• Mu (Aries) in Saint Seiya
• Le Cain in Layzner

Shiozawa also provided the voice of Luke Skywalker in the Japanese dub for Star Wars, further building on his accomplished career. His talents will be sorely missed.
