Bio:

I'm a Math / Asian Studies major still working on a math PhD who likes to dabble in folklore, mythology, and fantasy theory on the side. I'm generally more attracted to anime that touches on mahou, especially that related to Buddhism or Daoism, though I don't have a real aversion to either shoujo or mecha anime. I originally signed on in the movies section, but then made the mistake of writing too many reviews when my bandwidth got reduced. It's been years since I joined the site, and I've certainly taken many a hiatus, but for now I'm back, in an editing role.
