Comic Ciao magazine revealed that Sayuri Tatsuyama's Happy Happy Clover manga will receive an animated adaptation in July. No further details have been revealed.

ADV Films revealed its acquisition of Air. The license includes the series' thirteen television episodes, two TV specials, and the motion picture. The first of four volumes of the television series will be released on August 14th, with the rest of the volumes occurring monthly. The film is scheduled for release later this year.

Sansai Books announced that its Moetan line of English language study aids will receive an anime adaptation. The title is scheduled to premiere in July on Japanese television.

Gainax co-founder Akai Takami recently resigned from his position, after formally apologizing to the public. Takami recently made a series of offensive comments in response to Japanese internet criticism of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann episode five, which generated enough backlash to prompt Takami's resignation.
