This week's review batch starts out by touching on a couple of classics. Bahamut begins with his thoughts on the well-known and well-received Miyazaki movie, Princess Mononoke. Click here to join Bahamut in his exploration one of the first anime films to enjoy a States-wide theatrical release. Ryu continues on the "classic" theme by moving on to a tale told in more modern times, Kimagure Orange Road. To understand why Ryu considers this series to be another classic, click here. Or, if you're more interested in Ryu's take on the more recent release of Sol Bianca, a series which follows a pirate ship with an all-female crew, direct your browser in this direction. Moving right along, our next review was sadly composed by me, and covers the creatively animated Iria: Zeiram the Animation. To get the full skinny on this 1994 OVA release in preparation for the upcoming release of Zeiram 2, click here. And, if you're truly a glutton for punishment, you can suffer through my review of one of the recent domestic releases in the "Leijiverse," namely Queen Emeraldas. Click here to join with me in suffering the pangs of mediocrity.

As a format aside, those readers who peruse the review index directly will note that the percentages on that page have been replaced by letter scores. Basically, because the percentages appeared only on that one page and often were inconsistent with the mystical percentage scale, we decided to end the madness. To counteract this decrease in confusion, however, we will also be instigating a new by-volume review option in the near future. And, when a document is written up to allay confusion on that front, I'm sure something else will come up to inspire mystery and mayhem anew. ^_~
